Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all! This morning we were awakened by the pitter patter of little feet and whispering....then things got louder as the cat discovered all the beautiful little shiny eggs scattered throughout the house for her. This was the start of our Easter egg hunt. The kids found their stuff pretty fast, so next it was time to get ready for church.
The last couple of months, we've been attending a new church. Our neighbours started going to Ross Road Community Church some time back and invited us to try it out. We've been thinking of trying something different for awhile now and this seems to be a really good fit so far. I'm quite excited about the possibilities. I guess this is part of my "baby steps" plan. Some of my next steps are to get involved in the church in some way and to get baptized. Exciting months ahead of me! And thanks to my blog, I'll have you along with me every step of the way....

I've been wanting to get baptized for a long time, but was waiting until my walk with the Lord was just right and I was doing all the right things. My walk is never going to be perfect, and besides that's not the reason for getting baptized, so I just need to go and do it!

I was at the same place you were a few years back. I was too chicken to get baptized and I felt that my walk with the Lord wasn't good enough. Every time I would see someone get baptized I had this feeling inside that was telling me to do it. So I finally did!! I hope you find that same Peace while honouring God in taking this step!!

I was baptized as a teen, but would like to be baptized again since it was so long ago, and so much has happened in my life since then. I think it's awesome that you want to be baptized. I hope you continue to enjoy your new church.
