Nice Weather = Weeding
With all the nice weather we've been having, that can mean only one thing....lots of yard work. Our front yard pretty much takes care of itself, except for the usual maintenance, but the back yard is always a source of frustration. The weeds back there are endless and merciless...I'm sure some other lady on the other side of the world is pulling at the other end of some of those roots! Who knew I'd be an expert at rock climbing just from weeding my garden? The worst part is that the top section, just below the fence is not even our property, but the owner does nothing with it because he doesn't have to look at it, so that means I take care of it if I don't want to look at it. Luckily, last year a whole bunch of butterfly bushes reseeded themselves up there and practically disguised all the weeds. That's my new plan of action...not to get rid of the weeds, but to disguise them and make them look good. Another trick I used last year was to throw wild flowers up top. This year, we plan to plant a few low trees to kind of hide the rocks and weeds and give the illusion of having a more private yard. I'd also like to fit a pond in somewhere. Dreams and plans....sounds like another trip to Home Depot will be in order soon!

Your yard is looking really nice! I would have done the exact same thing, don't pull the weeds, hide them! LOL! Luckily dad is the "master" of the yard and won't even LET us gals do the yard work :)
what a beautiful yard! I love the purple flowers in the rocks.
I think some small trees up top would be the perfect solution!
