Grandma Klassen

Grandma and Grandpa Klassen at Christmas in the 70's.

A year ago today, our family lost our very special mother and grandmother.

I just found this picture the other day and am so thankful for it. Somewhere in my grandparent's home is a red Christmas ball with my name on it, as there is of every grandchild. Those Christmas balls make me think of how Grandma always told us that her and Grandpa prayed daily for each one of us by name. What an incredible feeling!
My Grandparents prayed for and with everyone...in the prayer room at church, with their M2 person at the jail, and on their knees in their home.

My Grandma was also a wonderful hostess. She prepared so many wonderful meals with her hands for us with love. She was an awesome cook and baker! She could make something beautiful out of nothing.

Grandpa and Grandma In recent years.

ThIs is how I have come to remember my Grandma...with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. She loved to play pranks and games and smiled and laughed often.

This picture was taken of me and my Grandma about a week before she passed away. I am thankful for every minute I got to spend with this wonderful Godly woman.

This verse was read for my Grandma at her funeral and is an honour to her memory.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity,
And she laughs without fear at the future.
When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.

Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her;
There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all she has done,
and let all her works bring her praise at the city gate."
