The last couple of weeks have been packed full of excitement for Kenton!
On May 24th, he turned 16. He skipped school and we went out for lunch to Red Robin, then went down to the motor vehicle office so he could take his test for his learner's license.
He passed!
Kenton has been training and working out the last few months to prepare for the "Run for Water",
a 10k run. His goal was to run it in under 40 minutes, but his official time ended up being just a few seconds over 42 minutes...an awesome time! He placed 29th out of 1169 contestants and was 5th out of 80 in his age category...shows what hard work and determination can get you!
Last week, we received a notice that Kenton would be receiving an award this week. It was hard to figure out what he would be getting it for since he has awesome marks in all his classes, but it turned out he had the top mark in Grade 10 PE. How fitting since he is lucky to be athletic and scholarly. :)
We are so proud of all your accomplishments and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you!
*As a side note: Kenton just got a job with a bouncy castle company last week and also just got a phone call from McDonald's for an interview yesterday...When it rains, it pours!
